Still Looking for a Forever Home:

VIVIA (Long-term AAC resident)

VIVIA has been adopted!
Her background story:
Acoording to AAC, Vivia has been adopted and then taken back to the shelter several times–none of which were because of her doing. She came to the Lindenwold Animal Adoption Center on Aug 28 2021, and was adopted by a man and his granddaughter in November of that year. However, in February the grandfather returned Vivia stating he didn’t want her anymore. The next day the granddaughter came in to the shelter and got her back, stating she didn’t know her grandfather had brought her in and that she wanted her back. In April of 2022, the grandfather brought her back again stating that the granddaughter was homeless and was leaving Vivia tied up in the yards of random friends houses. The shelter took Vivia back and told the family they would not be getting her back again.
Vivia was available for adoption at the Lindenwold Animal Adoption Center (click the link to be taken directly to her adoption page), or call 856-435-9116, or email Michelle@animaladoption.com to see other pets waiting for their chance.

Recent Success Stories:
We are pleased to announce that, following “Black Cat Rescue”, the abandoned feline has found a loving forever home. To recap, on November 11, 2022 PawsCause.org recieved notice that a cat had been heard crying in a cat carrier left in the front of a house. We were told that the cat had been there for several days. PawsCause.org immediatly drove over to assess the situation and try to find the owner. The cat was found in a small carrier outside a home in Atco completely covered under some wet towels. While the cat did not appear to be in immediae distress, the odor indicated that it had been confined for some time. We left a note at the residence saying that we would like to help out, or take the animal into our care.
After some investigation, PawsCause.org was able to identify the owner and get in touch with her. The owner stated that she did not want the cat anymore and that we should take her. We immediately returned to the home and retrieved the cat (a black male who we nicknamed “Stinky” for obvious reasons). He was allowed to relax and decompress in a private room at Long Meadow Farm for a few days, with access to a clean litter box, food and fresh water.
It has taken a week but the cat, now named Richard, has totally come out of his shell. He was placed with a loving family who was specificaly looking for an all black cat. Along with the cat, PawsCause.org donated a welcome home gift package which included a litter pan, litter, cat food, a cat tent, toys, a collar, and other essentials. Richard seems to have settled right in at his new home–he is even playing with the cat toys now.
